School Advisory Board

What is the School Advisory Board?

The School Advisory Board (SAB) is a consultative body responsible for helping form policy, advise on fiscal and other matters, and recommend goals for St. Francis de Sales School and the SAB itself, subject to the authority of the Parish Pastor and the School Principal. The current SAB is composed of current school parents who were asked to join or expressed interest last year. Learn more about the Board members below.

Lindsay Englefield is a SFDS and NC alum.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio with a Bachelors of Science Degree from the Fisher College of Business.  She was the VP of Marketing for a community bank for many years before staying home with her children, and continues to serve on community boards and volunteer at non-profit orgs.  Lindsay, and her husband Will, have two children enrolled in SFDS.  She feels blessed to see her children grow in the loving and faith-filled community that has been part of her life since childhood.

Adrienne Eskins and her husband, Clint, have two children enrolled at SFDS, and a third attending Newark Catholic. Adrienne works for Licking County Planning and Development as the Community Development Specialist. Adrienne enjoys serving on the SFDS Advisory Board as it allows her to represent the SFDS community while ensuring every family has a voice. She feels blessed to send her children to a private school where they receive a classical Catholic education that will prepare them for their future, while providing a solid Catholic foundation. In her spare time, you will see her on the sidelines, proudly cheering for her present/future greenies.

Shannon Karrenbauer is our Parish and School Business Manager.  She and her husband Glen have been members of SFDS for over 12 years and have 3 little boys in our school – Ben is in 5th grade, Colin is in 3rd grade and Daniel is in preschool.  In her spare time she coaches gymnastics, loves outdoor activities and playing with her boys.

My name is Cierra Toney and I am excited to join the St. Francis family as your 1st Grade Aide. My husband Josh and I have three children, Landon (13) Aubrie (9) and Maci (7). Our daughters attend St. Francis and our son attends Heath Middle School. Josh is a Crew Leader at The Energy Cooperative. I have a degree in Medical Assisting that I received from the Ohio School of Phlebotomy in 2013. I worked in Dermatology before being blessed with the opportunity to be a stay at home mom. I am currently the Chairman of the Christmas Extravaganza and Co-Chair to the Art Auction. I have been a member of the St. Francis Advisory Board for 3 years. I also attended St. Francis as a child. In my free time, I enjoy camping, kayaking, watching our children play sports and spending time with our family!

Ashley Hindes and her husband Eddy have been parishioners at St. Francis de Sales since 2008 and our 3 children have attended SFDS since preschool. We choose SFDS because they want their “children to have a faith based education that emphasizes not only academic success but also kindness, compassion, and grace.” Ashley's goal of being a part of the Parent Advisory Board of SFDS is to help facilitate communication between families of SFDS and administration and to help continue to build a loving and enriching environment for all of our children at SFDS!

John Paul Munhall, the eighth of ten children from Worthington, Ohio attended Bishop Watterson High School (1997) and holds a degree in History and Philosophy from Wheeling Jesuit University (2001).  He moved to Licking County in 2015, desiring to find a home as close to the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament as possible, he bought a home ~623’ from the St. Edward property line. He is a member of Rotary International, and a past-chairman of Free-Enterprise Academy. He has over 20 years of experience in the oil & gas industry. His business, Igluplus, LLC provides contract negotiation, and land services, relating to the oil and gas industry. Igluplus is named for his family: Ignatius (12 years old, 6th grade), Lucy (13 years old, 7th grade), and plus, to incorporate the yet unborn children at the time, Brendan (10 years old, 5th grade), J. Kenneth (8 years old, 3rd grade), and now Gianna (5 years old, Kindergarten); as well, his wife Christine (of Powell, OH), so he could remember who he is really working for! In addition to his business, he serves as the Executive Director of St. Vincent de Paul Housing Facilities. Regarding his faith, he unapologetically states “I am a disciple of Jesus. I am a Catholic. For His cause, I must go until I drop, speak out until all know, and work until He stops me. And when He returns for His own, I pray that He will have no difficulty recognizing me.”

Stephanie Shonebarger is a member of St Francis de Sales Parish. She has 2 daughters. Malena is a Senior at Newark Catholic, and she is a Varsity volleyball player. Mirra is a 6th grader at St Francis, and she is a member of the St Francis Band. She also shows and rides horses competitively. Stephanie lives in Newark, and she works for State Farm Insurance as a Claim Specialist. She has been a member of the Parish since Malena started school in 2006. Stephanie graduated from Newark City Schools, and she chose a Catholic education for her children so they would have a faith-based learning experience, smaller classes, and a tight-knit community of loving and protective parents and teachers.

Abigail Rehbeck and her husband Darby live in Newark with their children Pace, Milo, Stella and Vera (5thgeneration at St. Francis parish!). Abigail received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from MVNU. She works as a Trust Officer in Park National Bank’s Trust & Investment department and also serves with many local non-profit organizations. Raised in a Southern Baptist pastor’s family, Abigail converted to Catholicism as an adult after studying this ancient and beautiful faith. She and her husband are very grateful for the blessing of the classical Catholic education model at SFDS. They currently have two children enrolled here.
